SPEAKING & SIGNATURE TALKS
Continuing Medical Education for Your Clinic
I’m passionate about sharing the latest research on complex women’s health conditions with medical professionals, providing expert insights they can apply directly in their practices. If your clinic is interested in training on sexual wellness and hormone therapy, I offer Continuing Medical Education talks focused on mental health and menopause, hormone therapy, and female sexual dysfunction.
Hi, I’m Magen!
I’m an active member of AASECT, ISSWSH, and The Menopause Society, and a former primary care provider with extensive experience supporting women navigating the complex landscape of sexual health, particularly during perimenopause and menopause.
I pursued advanced training to better serve my patients, becoming AASECT-certified, earning MSCP credentials, and mastering Sensate Focus techniques. In my clinic, I take a subspecialty-informed approach that integrates internal medicine, endocrinology, and gynecology, allowing me to address the full picture of women’s health.
My Signature Talks
Each of my three signature talks is available live, both virtually and in person, either as a one-hour presentation or a three-hour seminar.
-
Designed for behavioral health clinicians
The menopause transition is a multi-system neuroendocrine event, but it often walks into a therapy office looking like new-onset anxiety, treatment-resistant depression, or a personality that "suddenly changed." This talk equips behavioral health clinicians with the foundational knowledge to recognize when hormonal shifts may be driving or amplifying their clients' symptoms, avoid premature psychiatric labeling, and know when and how to refer. Topics include the hormonal mechanics of the menopause transition (perimenopause into post-menopause), intersections with ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and trauma history, and the cultural and equity dimensions of the menopause experience. Participants leave with practical clinical tools and a biopsychosocial framework for supporting clients through one of the most underrecognized transitions in women's health.

Designed for PCPs, NPs, PAs, and other primary care clinicians
Half of the world's population, if they live long enough, will experience perimenopause and menopause. Yet less than 10% of primary care providers feel equipped to care for menopausal women, and we have an entire generation of providers who were not trained on modern hormone therapy. Primary care providers should have basic knowledge for starting hormone therapy, and this talk provides that foundational knowledge. Through a case-based approach, participants will learn why perimenopause is a clinical diagnosis made from symptoms rather than labs, how progesterone decline can precede any menstrual changes, and when reaching for an SSRI or OCP may be missing the point entirely. Participants leave equipped to recognize the hormonal underpinnings of common complaints like insomnia, mood instability, and fatigue, and to offer treatments that actually address the underlying mechanism.
-
Designed for primary care clinicians, gynecologists, and sexual health providers
Female sexual dysfunction affects nearly half of all women, yet remains dramatically understudied and undertreated in clinical practice. This talk covers the full landscape: the physiology of female arousal and lubrication, the cardiovascular connections to sexual dysfunction, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, dyspareunia, vaginismus, and low libido. Drawing on updated sexual response models, pelvic anatomy, and evidence-based treatment options, participants will leave better equipped to take a thorough sexual health history, address contributing physical and psychological factors, and have informed, de-stigmatizing conversations with patients about their sexual wellbeing.
